The Last Drop Brewery has been operating since 1992, when the complete brewery was transported from a medieval village in Bavaria and re-erected in the Perth Hills by German Master Brewer Horst Kempf. The Brewery uses a traditional method of brewing according to the “REINHEITSGEBOT” which translates literally to “Purity Order”.

The “reinheitsgebot" is the ingredients standard to which German beers have been held since 1516, and mandates the use of nothing but water, hops, malted grains, and yeast. The Last Drop uses only the finest imported Bavarian yeast, propagated and maintained by our brewer Jan Bruckner, whose prize-winning beers grace the Last Drop Cockburn’s kegs.
